Does the Soul/Spirit survive Death?

To ask the question does our spirit or soul..........anything, is to assume there is a spirit and/or soul.
What is more, it is to assume a definition of such, which has yet to be agreed upon, last I looked.
This is what is known.
We are ALL
ENERGY.
Very simple.
Look up the definition of energy in the dictionary.
Because, that way, you can prove to your self, as opposed to believing or challenging me........ahhhhhhh
There's something to be said for the "trust factor"........
when even with the most intimately involved in our lives, requires the need to experience for SELF,
in order to TRUly BElieve.
The factor of experiencing for self, in order to believe, understand, agree.....
This is why I suggest, the dictionary.
Here are the facts........
Your Brain, OUR Brain, is truly like a technologically advanced super highway communication wire.
And it is attached to our ENTIRE body........through the spinal cord.
Every "signal" our brain sends to our body is exactly that, a signal, an ELECTRICAL SIGNAL, pulsating through out your body, like your blood which PULSates in and out of your heart.
WE ARE the Greatest technologically wired infrastructure known!
EVERYthing we have around us, outside of Nature in her Natural form, is CREATEd by US, in OUR LIKEness.
The difference between our technological infrastructure and that of a computer's of course, is our mind, our conscious, free will, our emotional brain state, or what some may call our soul.
But what do you call it?
Isn't that what is important in asking a question regarding the state of our soul?
If soul is our brain to you and our mind to leloo, and our heart to mateo, doesn't that sorta affect the answer?
So, in that we can't know what everyone believes soul to be, I figured, why not stick to what we do know, n'est ce pas?
Our cells in our body, which is EVERYthing we are made up of, like our skin cells, liver tissue cells, blood cells, hair follicles, other wise known as hair cells, spermatoza, ALL of WE, is cells.
What are cells?
Look up "cells" in the dictionary........
Trust me :O)
They are made up of positive and negative energies.
Neutrons, Protons, yup, all that fancy shmancy technology lingo......we've got the best!
So........from what we know, 'cuz we looked it up in the dictionary, Energy can neither be destroyed nor diminished, it can only be altered in its compound make up. In other words, you can rearrange it, but you can't truly change it.
Is this our Soul?
'Cuz if it is..........well, then I think we've got our answer..........
n'est ce pas?

What you've heard, been taught, and taken in over time since birth is stored in your brain cells. Those cells, deprived of oxygen at death will cease to exist therefore you will cease to exist. Death, to be experienced, needs the brain to experience it. The brain deprived of oxygen can no longer function, therefore you will not be able to experience the death process. There is no soul or spirit. If there were it would continue to function when people get Alzheimers or go into a coma. It would not be subject to these conditions. It could operate independently if it were truly a seperate entity apart form the brain. People have been hoodwinked into believing in fairy tales one big one is believing in this being who is able to send you into a fiery hell or blissful heaven according to his whims. How sad! Live this life as if it's the only one you have because truly IT IS the only one you do have. There is no afterlife. The only thing you will never experience is death because you needed your brain and your brain no longer is functional.For a start please read up on 'Near Death Experiences' and find that your whole comment is seriously flawed. Oxygen has been depleted from peoples brains yet they have told nurses, doctors, family what they were doing and saying when 'flatlined' word for word. People that are blind from birth see in a NDE. People that have been deaf can hear during out of body experiences. Be a skeptic like I was but examine the facts before sharing your no knowledge base!Thanks for that!!!

Definitely the one with the woman whom they, for medical purposes, "killed", on the operating table, only to bring her back at which time, she was able to tell them exactly what they were doing through out the operation.....

Wow, you seem a little perturbed. I apologize if I offended. I will address some of your points of contention. Regarding people and their brains.......you may enjoy doing some research regarding actual operations that go on through out our world, in which the body is brought to "death" including that of the brain.......no electrical charges, and then brought back and what the people have to say etc.... Yes of course, our brains compile and store, and yes, oxygen is needed for our cellular activities as seen in the physically manifest, however, am I too believe then that the very cells that are the oxygen, that we can not see, don't exist, because we do not physically see them? Cells are ENERGY Energy can not be seen. Energy is as equivalent to Soul as I am able, in my current language capacity, to get......for these purposes. The air we breathe, is not visible, yet without it, we'd be dead. How can you say with such certainty that there is nothing after death but death, when in fact the very essence of who we are is unseen.........energy. When, energy is scientifically proven be changeable in form, whilst never losing its beingness.....we can not destroy energy....... and WE ARE ENERGY this is FACT TRUTH not some mumbojumbo made up hoodwinked fairy tale. No one is speaking to god or religion or make believe here....... I am a TRUTH Seeker, I do not write from my "gut feeling" I write that which is KNOWN, PROVEN and EVER LASTING in its BEingness TRUTH...... Have you ever heard about tarot card? It practically reads the energy. Everything in this world connected by the energy. My professor said something about that related to the psychological matter. She said that we could talk to someone who had died trough tarot card. I am learning to use tarot card since several months ago, but i think i am not capable enough to contact a soul or something like that.
